Runs like shit on my machine..

Fresh legit windows 7 install
Latest ATI drivers 11.9, also tried the beta 11.10 plus the profile patch
latest chipset drivers
Tried with and without SP1 for windows

Maybe my 5870's are giving up, cant even change video settings without the game crashing.. And if I do leave them it runs like ass..

Can't say im too happy, waited for this game loved the beta ran awesome and now this.. Suggestions?

It's a preview release v3, which means it's not an official release by AMD.

It's a BETA driver, but updated a few more times by the community.

i turned the AA from 16 to 8 and its all happy, i have a 5770 GPU

The game runs fine on mine with a single 5870, settings on high getting 60-70fps (amd drivers 11.10v3 NO CAP)

As others have said, that's probably your problem - you need to uninstall the profiles (CAP 3). I've got crossfire 5850's and it runs well (enough) on high, but when I had the application profile (CAP3) installed it ran like shit, with huge spikes all over the perf graph.

Are gtx 580 still the best upgrade or is there something worth waiting for in the new year? Also still running a i7 920 DO which I see no need to replace?

One should be plenty. But 570's are much better performance/dollar ratio, some of the factory overclocked ones from EVGA run the same clocks as the 580s.

Max settings @ 1920x1080, factory clocked 480 gtx (just the one card) 8gig ddr3 1600, factory clock i7 2600. Many stable fps'sss, not had a single issue. Time to get some nvidia foR
