I'm noticing it by trying to do fast swipes (left/right) The mouse is slowing it self down. If I do slow (console POS movement), the mouse moves normal but slow for my liking.

I am loving the game but I do have 3 slight issues,

the glare - now that I have played the full version - Great idea, adds Dynamics to the game but in places its just a little annoying (like overpowered glare in broad daylight).
Gun Damage for Assault rifles still feels strange - I am talking at range tagging someone 5-6-7 times and not scoring a kill, even more annoying when it is just their head that is peaking over the ridge so you know that all those shots have to be headshots...

This was a feature EA wanted to try out to help with realism in game. If you spin you head from side to side really quickly you get dizy - so same same :)

Leave a squad and select a empty one or one that is not private. Once you click on it a small join button will appear @ the bottom of screen below the back button.

If you have a empty squad tell that gimp and crazy mama to join "hotel" via chat as they cant see your if your in a squad until its created blah blah

Yeah the squad leave/join is not as nice as bc2 but you do get used to it, like the kit load outs, getting into and back from the weapon layout is painful

I see the join button (it's not very obvious, but it's down the bottom). Half the time it doesn't appear though. I'll work it out eventually.

I agree with oefox on the cumbersome nature of the kit customisation, but I think once you know the menus it will be a breeze. A lot of this stuff is just adjusting to change.

weapon loadouts is amazing. Remember your unlocks and last used attachments etc are saved to the gun. If you use different guns for different scenarios, all you have to do is click the weapon on the "Deploy" screen (not in the customization screen) and it folds out where you select your weapon of choice. It awesome for when shifting between long/medium range and medium/short range combat.

Yes lower the contrast that will fix it... not. Lowering it doesnt change the aura of lighting and infact it makes going in doors even darker its ridiculous. I have some SS which I just noticed today.

Few small complaints though, but nothing worrying me.

Playing SP
- Some guys in "game cutscenes" (not a cutscene, but an unplayable ingame moment. I'm sure you knwo what i mean), will be invis. I was having one of those reaction fights with a guy and i couldn't see what was happening lol, just me getting thrown around and told to press buttons.

- Some of the subtitles can be off by quite a bit. They could almost finish their sentence and it just shows up. Obviously this one isn't that bad.

From Co - op

- Some guys will appear through a ledge, and end up rubber band falling down the side if the wall is a ledge up high. Co op is short so meh ;p But this means you cant kill them.

- When jumping in a jeep (for one of the missions), Your cross hair will be as big as it was when jumping in. If you were sprinting its going to be fucking huge, if you were prone (possibly even scoping in), its going to be tiny. Not a big one but yeah :P

From Multiplayer

- Still the occasional colour flashing on my screen. Saw blue flashes and green flashes tonight.

- You can't click someone on the map to spawn on them. You have to go through each name and hope that the location you're seeing is them.

- You can select to filter empty /full servers, and it shows you empty and full servers, and nothing else, This is probably on purpose, but wouldn't you rather have the full and empty servers NOT shown? I can understand wanting to see an empty server, but to see a full one? why?

Those are all minor imo. And will all be ironed out. Bloody love this game, and nothing is stopping me from playing it :)

I too am annoyed with the spawn and squad menu; seems impossible to join friend's squads sometimes as no join option appears down the bottom and yes I agree Kayne it would be nice if you could click the green triangle in the mini map to select your squad mate to spawn off.

Getting used to the weapon loadouts, a little fiddly trying to quickly switch things around, berating myself alot spawning with a stinger in a map with no air vehicles

Server disconnects - once or twice a day (will try router settings tonight)
BF3 stopped responding & lockup - about 6 times total usually when changing video settings (done in window mode fixes this)

I'm finding it incredibly hard to get engineer repair points; i've repaired tanks and choppers from disabled to 100% and yet get no points for it, do they need to be on 1% or something?
That and most of the time it's really hard to see the repair progress icon I sometimes can't tell when to stop >_<

I'm finding it incredibly hard to get engineer repair points; i've repaired tanks and choppers from disabled to 100% and yet get no points for it, do they need to be on 1% or something?
That and most of the time it's really hard to see the repair progress icon I sometimes can't tell when to stop >_<

I have no issue with the glare at all. It's predictable and fits in, but since this is a bitch and moan thread I will share the one major bitch about the game I have.

The vehicles just don't have enough mass. When tanks etc move around, accelerate, decelerate and turn, and when their turrets rotate, it's like they're made of polystyrene.

Tank turret rotation should be ponderous. Initial acceleration from a standing start should be slow like Oh I dunno, maybe quite a few tonnes of hardened steel is accelerating.

When you're in a jet, the only way you feel like you're actually turning a plane is the pilot grunting like he's having a mid air masty. When you watch them from the ground, they look like someone has made them intertialess.

I've spent only 5 or 6 hours playing, and I'll continue to play a bit when bored, but I feel like I have played enough now to say that, apart from the graphics ( I think the glare etc is a big improvement to the game), the destruction, and the hit reg, BF2 was a far, far, far superior game.

It's not so much the glare its the dirty markings you get along the botton. On Kharg Island you dont get these markings but on any other map you do. It also looks like the new maps have had there contrast toned down which is nice.

Yes they can be exploited but BC2 had a no glitch/exploit rule so why can't people do the same for BF3? They made this statement that attachments make the game easier and they don’t want people being able to pull off kills they otherwise wouldn’t if they didn’t have attachments, this attitude just seems silly to me since everyone would be using the same attachments in the first place.

What is the counter for SOFLAM / 3rd seat in the tank? There is not one that exists. Once the tank gets a lock / soflam locks it's instant chopper bye bye from 100% to 0. No flares / anything else can stop it. That's why it should be banned. If it isn't, every team will drop a soflam and be rolling with guided tank shells, and no one will be using choppers at all, removing that whole dynamic from the game.

You do realize things are removed to improve gameplay. Cod4 was a great example of not having 203s because you could spawn on certain maps instantly fire a 203 over buildings killing people leaving their spawn. Not every single perk attachment is needed in game, and no one has said anything like only having m16s vs AKs you are just blowing things way out of proportion.

Like it was said above, CG is a more competitive gaming ladder, so removing certain perks increases the skill level and really lets the better teams shine. You may be annoyed you can't get easy kills but thats fine, go play GA with every single unlock available and have fun. You seem to want to dumb everything down to make the game easier, competitive play is the exact opposite of that, its meant to be challenging.

how about letting it all die down for a couple of days, then whack in a poll in all 3 communities, see how many teams would be interested in taking part into a tourny with perks, ruleset etc that you are arguing over? votes in some sense do count and if you could show the ladder admins with figures the amount of interest, then perhaps you could compromise.. just a thought
