So let me tell you a little story....

Solman gets heads down to EB Botany for their 10pm release of the game.... kinda suspecting that they will not actually hand out the game until midnight, but figures... hell why not...
finally gets to the front of the cue to collect the final receipt for the game (which also gives you your position in the cue for collection of the disc's). Solman hands over ID for the staff member to do his thing, following him calling up my order the bearded camo dressed staff member, looks at me and says...... Dude, I'm sorry but you are going to be Angry. I'm like what? whys that (thinking he is gonna tell me that I can't have the game till midnight). To which the reply comes back... EA have advised us that the servers will not be live until 2:00am as it is based on 12:00am Aussie time. I'm like you are joking right!!! he replys.... no sorry dude I wish it was, we only got told at 10pm by EA
I asked how that effects the ON3 servers, apparently it is master server related so........................................

Once installed its does a release date check and says sorry it is not released yet... so... unless some people have an early access pass i guess... maybe its the people that pre-ordered Medal of honour. I dunno but its not "Released" general public yet...

that flyvpn shit is way too tidius. heres what i did.
control panel>network and internet>internet options>connections>lan settings>proxyserver>210.107.100.25 // 8080> ok/apply. Run bf3> go through battlelog> just change the settings back and play

it downloads it spork.. it uses my internet connection.. and not my dvd drive! i don't have 11GB to waste on this.. esp in a flat with other people... as a test i disabled my router and "download" stops...

Weird. Had me a little confused, said downloading but was just copying files over from disk... not sure what went wrong with your but Mayhem and myself had no issues other than my key not working first time round.

HOLLY MOTHER OF MERCY.... After i spent 3hrs trying to get this sorted this morning, i gave up at 4am and went to bed.. had bad dreams about it not working..
try again now... and its working! WTF!!!, fingers crossed

yes you do have to have origin open to install from disc.

new it was too good to be true... its now downloading from the net again.. :-( oh well just have to put up with it

it installs from the discs.... but says it is downloading in origin..... no idea why, at the end of disc 1 it stalled for a while then asked for disc 2, after disc 2 much the same, then it said all installed, then it downloaded a 500mbish patch.... all done.
