BF3 Beta help - Mouse Cursor/Image issue

Ok - Did some posting in the Beta Thoughts thread about the problem I'm having with the Beta that is pissing me off.

As you can see in the images below, in order to select any menus in Full Screen Mode, I have to move my mouse to the bottom and to the right slightly in order for it to register that I've selected the menu. This means i can't hover my mouse cursor over the actual menu and select it, i have to move it like in the images. Really weird. Works fine in Windowed mode, but everything is huge and find it impossible to play in. The chat box takes up like 50% of the screen in windowed mode and i can't see anything.

It was suggested it was a scaling issue, but I've tried my 24inch Widescreen LCD monitor through a DVI input and it does the same thing as through my 46inch LCD TV via HDMI. I've changed resolutions in game and in windows but can't resolve it. Tried reinstalling the game last night but did the same thing. I've done the screen adjust option to remove the red lines, didn't do anything.

Anyone got any other ideas?

what brand of mouse etc, not something stupid to do with mouse drivers and BF3 conflict.

It's one of those Logitech Razer gaming mouse things. I suppose I could look for an updated driver.

To me it points to some kind of graphics issue, because the mouse itself works fine in everything else and in windowed mode, but guess it could be something odd like that.

I've got two EVGA GTX560 TI in SLI, using latest Beta Drivers (did the same with previous driver too)

Yeah, good call, haven't tried it without SLI.

I've got another Mouse somewhere. I've also read it could be a Windows Aero thing so might disable that as well. I've got a wireless Keyboard that i'm using so might try a USB one as well to see if that has anything to do with it.

Have you tried using the HDMI output (mini display) not sure on the 560ti, but using duel link dvi could be forcing 2560 x bla (that is if you are using duel link) Also try going back to your tv, setting the resolution on that back down to native, then remove the display device (the actual tv itself) not the card. So it should come up as generic plug and play monitor. Then go to your 24 inch WS monitor let Win7 pick up the driver for it. Worth a try atleast. It will not be the game, will be monitor settings / profiles imo.

It's part of the territory. THE GAME WILL RUN LIKE A SHOPPING TROLLEY -you should expect it, and if you don't and end up becoming agitated and upset by it then you're a moron. The purpose of a beta is to report the issues back to the devs.

Dude, I'm asking for Tech Help because no one else is getting this problem which leads me to believe it's a unique issue relating to my setup. If you look over the beta forums, there is a bunch of common themes there, but mine isn't.

Yeah I'm using the HDMI Mini output for the TV and the DVI for the 24 inch WS Monitor. The native res for the TV is 1920x1080 which is the same res I was using for the Monitor. Could give that a go. Thanks

Drop duel connections all togeather. As mentioned uninstall all current drivers for monitors (there will be 2 x drivers listed under your win 7 monitor profiles) go into drivers, make sure you have no extra features enabled for the actual TV settings. From the screen shots you have posted it looks to me as if the GPU is forcing some fucked up massive res regardless to what BF3 is telling you it is running at.

Problem solved.

Windows fucking Aero.

Disabled it and Voila! Sweet, been raping it up. Cheers everyone.
