Plugin won't wrk for me

The game manager gets me to download the browser plugin and it seems to run but then nothing more happens, the notice to download the plugin still has an exclamation mark next to it. I tried using Chrome as well as firefox to no effect.
Any ideas, I'm wetting myself waiting to play...

No, the update for the Battlelog Game Manager won't complete the setup. It runs to abpout 90% along the green install bar then dissapears and I can't go any further

FireFox 7? That the update that was released either yesterday or today? 'Cos it came up with a box saying that the Battlelog plugin thing isn't compatible with FF7, and do I want to still upgrade. I declined.

No idea why it wouldn't work in Chrome tho (unless it's simply not supported).

I cant even load the game from battlelog. After i try to join a server it opens bf3 in a window and just gives me the black screen of death (battlelog hangs on connecting).

My battlelog update finally mysteriously worked but now it sits at joining server for ever. I have tried a couple of different servers, even empty ones and it just sits ther.
Very frustrating, specially since they released the game for my Birthday.

Where and how do you talk to EA support Spork, I've posted on the forums that are available from the server browser screen though, there are quite a few there with the same problem.
Upnp should be ok Mahem, as far as I know. When I try hitting a BF3.exe nothing happens at all, actually I was wondering where and how you see the setup screens for the game, does that come up when the game launches into a server?

You can talk to them from the help thingy on the origin window :)

Interesting, when the bf3 beta.exe loads it doesn't populate the screen it stays minimised on the task bar. I have to click it which results in a black windowed screen.

Will try the upnp fix when i get home. Cheers mate

thats the issue i was having when trying to join on3 servers. upnp fixed that or the wind was blowing the wrong way before hand

BRB did you get it working. Whatever server i attempt to join i get the same issue. Upnp was enabled tried disabling it to no effect

most of my keyboard mouse buttons wont work with the beta....
logs in and loads fine, max out settings-fine, ping-fine...just cant run around and throw grenades.all i am able to do is look around and jump...cant even fire the weapon...

now that thats fixed...it wont bind my mice to FWD have to use a dam key....usually got my left mouse to forward and right mouse to fire but it wont let me, binding mouse keys arnt working.anyone else?

Hah, I had exactly the same thing as you with the 'how te fudge do I move'... Glad I wasn't the only one. I do the same thing and join an empty server to get set up lol.

I have been using the newer logitech gaming software to do the keybinds for the mouse (I use the side buttons too). There's also joy2key if you don't have that...
Some of the keybinds do work though.

Easyiest way to do it is to leave everything stock layout & then map your keyboard with a BF3 beta profile so if you want to change throw nade to F. you make F keyboard input as G etc

Or map your mouse so that left click is W rather then trying to change it all ingame

Gigabyte mouse here and sadly that wont work for me. Mapped my side buttons to g and f for grenade and quick knife, but still won't work in game. Can deal with it for now but I hope it is sorted for release. It is annoying going from 1 fps to another and having to completely change keyboard/mouse settings.

^^agreed!i have temporarily set forward to my up button which is also my jump button so each time i wanna move forward i do alittle jump lolquite sad actually....
but yeah its really annoying ,hope they have it sorted next month

The new software is really good, if you have multiple logitech devices you can set up all kinds of custom functions from the one app.
As Mayhem said, I just use the stock Bf3 binds and change my buttons to suit.

You can set up a profile that only launches with bf3.exe so it doesn't mess with other things :)

The Razer one for my keyboard is just as good although the keyboard keys seem to bind OK.
