View Full Version : BF3 to Have Commander Function... or a Commo Rose. It's one or the other ;)

No really Battlefield 3 on PC will officially have either:
- a commander
- a commo rose
No one can be sure which one it is, but DICE just announced one or the other will be in the PC version of the game. The confusion comes from a BF3 dev confirming the inclusion for PC of 'commander roles' however the editor of Atomic magazine (rightly IMO) thinks the interviewer may actually have misheard him say 'commo rose' lol:
One of the key feedback we got, for instance, was that people wanted the comm roles back on PC. So that’s one thing that we actually have added. It’s a PC specific feature, but it’s the PC community that has asked for it.
Either way it's nice to know DICE are listening, even if the journalists aren't always :) You can follow the Chinese whispers here: http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/News/267327,battlefield-3-on-pc-to-feature-a-commander-role.aspx

Considering it must be only weeks from disc printing?

Doesn't have to be on the disc, can be enabled/added via patch like the back to karkand expansion pack, etc...

I don't think they're going to completely change the structure of the game a month out.

Its obviously the comma-rose. The commander feature is very much game defining and such an advanced feature could not be implemented so close to release, many things in the game would need to be change to accomadate it.

It's obviously the commo rose. A developer confirmed this more than 2 weeks ago.
