I was playing tonight and I noticed the good nature of people. when I asked people to switch to even the sides a few of them did and we had some good/average games instead of a completely onsided match.

pat yourselves on the back ladies. it's good to see people at least trying to make the game last.

meanwhile the mmorpg groups are full of toxic fu*king throw back rejects that aren't worth pissing on if they were on fire. The tables have turned and the fps crowd are no longer the shitheads of the gaming community. excluding counter strike and CoD of course.

Having played a fair bit of BC2 on XBox, PC players are like Gandhi and Mandela's love child... ALL Xboxers are a real bunch of tossers. Even my ex-PC BF2 mates (can't afford the rigs) are turning.. every kill is 'ah bullshit' or 'fucking twat' on the chat. Each death is an injustice, each kill a revenge for grievous insult. No 'bugger' or 'ouch' or 'man he's good' any more when they die, no dipping of bags with knife kills, just crowing about awesomeness. I really enjoyed BC1 with them on Xbox, but hardly play any more cos they are turning into console kids... even though they are in their 30s and 40s and have kids of their own. Lame. The guys they have picked up as XBox friends and also join the chat are non-stop verbal bollox (and most of them are aussies).

PC FPS BF community rocks!

Never really gave FPS consoles a chance, except for James Bond on the N64 back in the day, all pissed up playing 4PMP on a 14inch TV in a cold London flat ! - That game rocked !
Don't see the attraction to console FPS, must be my oldness, but PC all the way.

I was blooded on FPS back during the Wolf3d/Descent era. Wasn't til I was in a quake clan when people started giving me grief for using keyboard ONLY (yeah, I've no idea how I did it either)
I was an average player when I made the switch and soon became one of our clan's top. Anyhow, FPS or even 3rd person games via game pad feel wrong and in a good way.

Also should say hear that I agree about the attitude difference. Generally PC gamers tend to be a bit more, um, grown up? Must stress this is a gross generalization, but for the most part they're more social and more focused on objectives (as opposed to frags). Sign I'm getting old? yep, you bet!

BF3. Still unsure. HATED MOH and BFBC2. They really didn't work, the fact the damage outputs of the weapons were so inaccurate really annoyed me. A pistol does less damage than an M60 period, so why I couldn't get kills with a 60 but could with a pistol is beyond me.

Ah well, hopefully BF3 will be decent, if the trailer's are anything to go by, but I dunno, I think EA have lost me as a customer. (for this series)

I see you can play it in your browser these days via ROM D/L - sure beats waiting for days for a new game to D/L and patch up. Speaking of which, any ideas how big the BF3 file is for D/L is going to be ? I bet is going to be huge, and im starting to wonder if its going to blow my monthly cap when it finally comes out.
As well as take over a week to load as its going to be so popular - Starting to wish I waited for the DVD.....

tbh i don't even remember starting this thread, I should have a disclaimer in my signature "any posts or threads started by me after 5pm on a friday are due to me being drunk" work drinks at the office start @ 4 so I'm well on my way by the time I get home.
