I don't see how earning 'battle points' ingame, and then using them to buy vehicles is going to make for much of a balanced game.

It is a console port, so I'm still going to wait and see.

Its out everywhere else in the world afaik. Anyone decided to get it? I'm still waiting and seeing :S
I haven't heard about any gamebreakers, just that the default damage setting seems to be 'hardcore.'

Most of the reviews slam the SP (who cares) and give the MP a big thumbs up. I am wilting towards buying but... I'll wait and see ;)

i played a small amount of SP last night, I'm pretty impressed with the tone, some very full on stuff in the intro. visually pretty good. weapons feel nice and punchy

Reviews I read on steams "metascore" thing said about people having issues with the install from disc then download 4gb patch, but didn't say a cause or way to fix. Sucks eh.

Yeah the box says 10gb HDD space required, yet the disk only installs 5.5gb. Very weird.

Got it, liking it so far. If you get past the nay sayers and just try it out I think it will float.

Its funny, but I just realised, it has a sort of 2142 feel to it. Something similar to what we are all used to but from a slightly different angle.

A fresh take on a theme we all know.

Game has potential. Just a few things let it down. Guns are way too overpowered, 1-2 shots to kill, needs to be toned down a bit. And what the hell were they thinking putting a one shot kill, 10 round, semi auto sniper rifle in the game.

No need to get defensive now. Besides, I am liking the game so far, but right now its too much like bc2 hardcore combined with the fact I have no map knowledge means I'm just wondering and getting shot in the back with no chance to respond. Decrease the weapon accuracy a lil so it takes some skill to shoot and I'll be happy with the bullet damage.

I'm liking the eye candy, and the sounds and graphics are really awesome. Some absolute fails though...

SP. Four hours. FOUR HOURS, and I was drunk for two of those. That's just not kosher. And the key hints system all default to the SECONDARY key option. Press 'Button 4' to ... Fucking annoying. Really really shows how much of a console port it is. Also had a wierd rotating issue where mid game, my character just started spinning for no reason. AI's teleport, and yeah, the UI's a little sluggish in places.

As for MP, only played a few rounds. It has promise, but I think there's far far far too much single shot kill aircraft. Makes it a little too chaotic I think. And yes, the weapons do need to be toned down a little - not completely nerfed like COD, but certainly add some deviation, or drop or something - it's just too easy to get a kill once you see someone.

Otherwise, it'll be interesting to really get into MP once I get my head around the maps and modes. It *does* still look quite promising.

I am really enjoying it, because the vehicles are brought with point you don't have the same auto tactics that you can gt in BF cos you know what/when/where spawns. It is to small map wise but it makes a nice change.

Its alright, growing on me as I adjust to the style. My opinion is that its a case of get it if its cheap, if not, save your money.

^yeah nice for a change but the twitch type gamers will get better mileage out of CoD and team players with BFBC2. The lack of destruction is annoying... can't even seem to shoot through ply wood. but there are some nice touches and it is good for a change
