How fucking gay....

Never been hacked with steam at all, 5 mins after merging my old school wow account to a battlenet account and buying starcraft I get an email saying your account email has been changed to s***@yahoo.com...and now i cant log in. Ive tried all the combination's of S***@yahoo.com i could think of with no success. I guess ill just have to wait till blizzard support answer, which could be awhile.

How shite is blizzard! Its not like my password was easy either, 8 letters and 5 numbers....

wicked ><

Anyway, just want to rage....lol

That sucks dude, but letter and numbers aren't enough, especially if they are dictionary.

Just stick to the rules, a combination of upper-case and lower-case letters that are non dictionary combined with a mixture of numbers and symbols.

You can obviously take a dictionary word and modify it to fit the parameters above.

Pretty random number lol, would take abit to guess...Just ridiculous that I didn't even get in game...about 7 years with Steam without a problem, wow was also fine until I had to merge with battlenet...Im just shocked really lol.

Too be honest you should take this as a sign, Steam is the best content delivery system out there, and regardless of your new love of Starcraft you should relinquish your account to fate and start playing Team Fortress 2 24 hours a day, much more satisfying than WoW

I highly doubt he was dictionary attacked. Most likely the password was used elsewhere, your email account was compromised, or some kind of issue when you merged your battlenet account.

For this kind of thing it almost certainly wasn't a dictionary attack, I just get a kick out of teaching eople to use secure passwords ; )

I detect a slight hint of bias here

Yeah, if they have told you what the email address has been changed to (hackers email) then shop around gay pron sites with it.

I highly doubt any 'hacker' would be using their personal email accounts to steal accounts

You might find it's some dumb 14yr old who got told how to hack from his mIRC buddy.

I didn't, came like that in my email...which is annoying

Anyway all fixed, called Blizzard on the toll free number and spoke to a lovely girl in Texas who fixed everything for me...pretty good service actually...

from what i've heard from workmates and the like, blizzard are excellent with this kind of thing

they realise there is a market for hacked wow accounts n the like, and have a set of excellent procedures to follow

good to hear you sorted it bro
