It is a very great game, but I don't believe it to be the best game ever.

88/100 on metacritic, which is a good score, like I said, it's a great game, I enjoyed playing it.

But it's not the best game ever.

Half-Life takes that title.

only on hardmode cause brutal was insane but did all the side missions and all opt quests bar the damn hive i missed in firstprotoss

also, 1v1 is awesome

I cant be stuffed playing the campaign. I've been playing versus A.I on every single map until I can beat all three races.

Speaking of which, I have class in five hours so I better get back to playing.

Ok i was honestly hoping for alot from this game.

from my initial experience (the first 3/4 missions) its being so so.

Voice acting hurts.
Feels to much like war3.
The graphics could have being abit better. textures not high res enough? :/
Wtf happened to my GOLIATH ONLINE!
The story isnt told to its full. That damn computer thing girl needs to have subs.
But I guess i never really paid much attention to the story in the first one so no big loss.

One of the best RTS games out now.

Steve Cook told some stories about how he could beat his mate at Starcraft. I am pretty sure Ken is an Eve-Onliner (or post Eve-Onliner)

That's pretty good, I was waiting for some review before I went to buy it.

loving the game so much. only played 4 hours tho cos i fucked my keyboard with a milkshake.. the funny thing is i bought the game expecting to mostly play mp.. and havent even thought of touching it yet.. SP is just so awesome .. and my art book is wicked, but apparently has campaign spoilers so not going to look through it yet..

It's gone down to 96 now, so on that trend, it's on track to be the worst game ever.

I've been thinking about getting this. A mate has it and he keeps talking about it and I'm getting jealous of his shiny new game.

it will steal your soul... for atleast 3 - 4 days on the campaign and challenges etc..

campaign is amazing (just finished it this morning).... well worth the monies and the 'online content' such as custom maps etc haven't even started booming yet. So endless hours of playability.

I love watching some of the crazy starcraft1 games like that on replay. Games where the two people used all the resources and it comes down to a couple of units...or games where the two teams knock each other out on attack and then a few units chase each other around the map

in one match all the main bases were destroyed and neither team had any builders and one player used dark templars to surround a pylon and he just sat there for the draw...dont know why he didnt try and kill the other players stuff.

Just finished the full SP, all 26 missions, including the secret (if u havent played the secret, its not the end of the world, kinda on par of SC1's secret mission.)

thoughts:
If I don't fry my card, running the game on ultra looks sweeeet.

unfortunatly the campaign was kinda boring in the middle bits, got tired of slugging it out, though some of the earlier missions showed promise (i found the lava one and the vampire/infested one to be amusing)

I don't expect much from UMS community for upwards of 6-12 months. but some of the stuff i'm hoping to see..... oh yeah.

I suck @ Mp melee

oh idk

I found that if u are quick and stack carriers over the archive u can be there for a LONG time. I got so bored I started killing them off (difficulty was brutal, but still). Was kinda annoying in a sense.
