Hey guys! just wondering if anybody has played this on Nintendo DS, cos it's coming out on PSP at the end of October this year and it looks pretty weird compared with the other PSP GTA range. Almost looks like GTA2 but with better graphics and stuff. However I am still gonna get it when it comes out!

Just watched and heard some reviews about the game - 9.5 for DS and 9.3 for PSP. Obviously the PSP version is still a good game, although they say it takes very long (17 seconds :o) to load or save lol! Still worth a go though!

Been playing this for a week now so thought I'd give a quick review (a wee bit long for a review i might add):
This long awaited game is very entertaining, has good graphics and special effects for a PSP and has a great storyline to it. There are a few variations in the game that are different to the other GTA games. For example you can go to the gas station and buy gas to fill glass bottles (molotovs), also your main way to get money is to do drug trafficking (while under the watchful eyes of the cops), and there are random Rampages which are against gang members rather than vehicles and pedestrians.
The city has a similar map to GTA4 except without Alderney and it is somewhat smaller. There are several gangs in LC that specialise in what drugs they usually supply and what they are after. As you move through the city you find dealers who email you from time to time with special offers of drugs. Drugs range from (cheapest to darest) downers, weed, acid, ecstacy, coke and heroin.
As for the vigilante, ambulance and firefighter missions, they are surprisingly quick and easy. However, the taxi missions are tight when it comes to fares. The cops are easy to avoid, even on 3 stars or more (if you have a fast car). All you have to do to avoid them is to cause them to crash and get out of their line of sight before you "evade" a star.
There are lots of minigames from setting up a sniper rifle, hijacking cars/trucks, attaching bugs/bombs to vehicles and others. Instead of looking for 200 "flying rats" like in GTA4, you look for 100 Security Cameras which a relatively easy to find.
Overall I think this is a good game for the PSP if anyone is interested :D
