Round 1

Round 1 will start on 17th December (majority vote was for this date).

The map for the first round will be Downpour (mp_farm)

Passwords for the servers will be sent to team captains at least 24 hours before the match, but expect them in the next day or two.

Please refer to the rules for start time allowances, etc.

Just a quick recap, when you have all joined the server, the ref will ask both teams if they are ready - ONLY the team captain (or vice captain) should reply. After both teams have confirmed ready, the ref will advice teams that the server will be live on restart and will then issue a restart. Please do not issue a restart vote yourselves, the ref will be looking after this side of things.

For those of you who do not have your final team lists, you have untill Sunday 16th 5pm to get these to me. At that stage teams will be locked.

Also, if you require a Team Speak channel, the above time is the deadline to advise me of that also.

Feel free to make "smack talk" or similar threads for your matches, but please keep any abuse out of it.

So get organised, get practicing and get ready :D

friday the 21st is the last day of work for most our team... we'll all be plastered and probably out in town.

yeah good point... You can have either of the 2 available 9:30pm slots on Monday or Thursday given that it is the last work day of the year.

Same goes for the teams in the other Friday night game.

I will allow changes this round given the time of year, etc - but ONLY if both teams agree on it.

However next year the draw will be somewhat final unless there is good reason to swap it as it can create a bit of a planning nightmare for me.

I'll get in touch with the BAM captain and let you know, also waiting to hear back from sila2. Once I have heard back I will let you know and update the draw if accepted.

It would be awesome if some players demo'd these games (or atleast the semis+finals if shoutcasting will be involved). I know I would be keen to watch a few of the tactics but I understand clans may not want their strats posted etc?

nothing set in stone, tbh it was something I completely overlooked.
I left it up to the ref's to pick how it was decided. I personally went for the captain vs captain knife fight

yer it just I went for the old best knifer vs best knifer. I think dirty did team knife fight. But it just depends on how long its taken to get everyone on the server etc. If its taken the full ten minutes then coin toss might have to do
