What are peoples thoughts on this gun?

A lot of people i know, and have talked to hate it. They do not like it at all. Me on the other hand rate it hard. I love it.

I have it in the Red Tiger camo and depending on game type normally have the silencer on. Id pick this gun over anything else in the game any day.

Im quite keen on it, at first it was alittle ehh but i got the hang of it. Not using it at te mo, trying to complete the other challenges.
Though i rather some of the other guns for close quarters

Exactly. Its pretty cheap, 3 shots that generally always hit the target (providing your a half decent aim) can be considered 'nub' or whatever.

I like using it because its less spammy.

yeah this gun does require a little more skill than spray and pray, its a good weapon I like :)

second time round i pritty much fully ranked up with the m16

It's good, first 2 bursts are quite accurate over a considerable distance, and the third is still as accurate as you could want. If it takes you more than 3 to kill then you have more to worry about than the effectiveness of your gun IMO.

I spam it a bit to try and bink/hit through cover. Don't need to for clear targets though.

M16 can never be considered noob because it actually takes skill to use properly. The second you get within about 10 - 5m of a noob with M16 they're screwed. MP5, P90 M4 etc. they aren't. Especially because double tap has no effect on M16.

its pretty good to use with a silencer too because when you hit them they don't know wtf to turn heheheh :bounce:

Jamming it last night, was 29 for 9 on ICONZ KOTH (i think that was the game mode) server. Very happy with that :D

Rewritten for major truth. This is a sniper rifle on steroids. That is all. RPD without the grip = total POS.

Anyway, M16 is wicked good with range. Close, not so much, you're much better whippin out the deagle.

3 out of my 5 kits are M16 ones.

Class 1 - M16/Red Tiger Camo/Silencer
Class 2 - M16/Red Tiger Camo/Red Dot
Class 3 - M16/Red Tiger Camo

I like using it with nothing but camo. No noobtube, no red dot, just me and the gun.

Yeah, my 4th kit is an MP5 with Red Tiger and a Red Dot.

5th is sniper...just waiting for the patch...

When I first tried the M16, I was unimpressed with the amount of time you have to wait between bursts, so I switched to the AK. When I went back to the M16, I was thinking that this gun was total hacks. It's extremely accurate at range, and one burst will kill anyone running towards or away from you. And if the rego is good one burst will kill anyone within 5 meters of you.

With red dot to expand your field of view while 'scoped' the M16 is just too strong.

I really pity the snipers, an m16 has it covered.

I don't, they're fucking annoying. You get in a closeup 1 on 1 and shoot the guy 10 times, and then you find out he has last stand when you're out of ammo, so swap to pistol and kill him, feel good about your victory and get shot from a mile away by a sniper...

I use Stopping Power and Deep Impact, so never have the issue of having to shot someone 10 times to drop them.

Its really effective at long range with no perks Bruce has been giving us headache in scrims using it if you get someone will skill using it its pretty deadly.

Ive been trying to use it with no attachments what so ever, its harder then you'd think. The Red Dot makes more difference then you will ever know....

He was on my team, he just looked so helpless laying there on his back, looking up at me with those big brown eyes. It was the right thing to do.

M14 is where it is at for me at the moment, I am loving that gun, just got the silencer for it, for some reason skipped the red dot entirely, its pretty damn accurate just with the reflex sights.
