I been using xfire to find local servers and launch the game,and it tracks previous servers visited.
No issues so far,works a treat.

Same thing happens to me, and I get my sound looping, if you google the problem ive found their isnt really a solution as of yet and no one seems to know what the problem is.

Best suggestion is to update all drivers, run spyware etc, shut down absolutely everything before you play.

Some people had problems with rivatuner, others with their lcd crap, but over all I went through about 50 pages and everyone had different setups and had turned everything off updated drivers etc and were still having problems.

As for the key in use, if your game crashes sometimes the server will still recognize you as being online, wait 15 mins and you can play again. This happened to me after I had read a few hours before that connecting to a certain ip they can steal your cd key :-/ stupidly my ping was playing up and I had to join some random server game crashed and then I thought my key had been logged :| after a quick google I found out what the problem was. I Was sweating tbh thought I was going to go for a drive down to the shops.

lol. cheers for that. haha i was gonna email GP about the cd key...the thing is i have been playing it since it came out and it only started freezing last night. and now im pissed.

tell me about it, although I just played for about 2 hours fine, left went back in and froze after about 5mins playing time.....

Maybe after I get my new pc this weekend things will change, but I doubt it.

haha. yea well if it freezes with my specs i don't think a new system will help :P im quite happy how it play most maps at 90fps at full gfx and res. unlike super next gen crysis lol.

Try resetting your router. Normally works for me. What normally happens is that you may lag out (999 ping) and for some reason PB doesn't kick you. It will eventually but I've always found it quicker to reset your router.

Xfire is the way to go, I have given up on the COD4 server search.
Only problem with Xfire so far was trying to join the Iconz test server and it wouldnt work and had to get in with console.
