everyone needs to update punkbuster.

getting messages that pb client is stressing and cannot authenticate the server..........something like that..........
also the kicks are due to pb init faiilure............does that help?

I'm downloading the updater thing at 2.8kb, and it took 30secs to even start lol. Guessing they reached their max bandwidth with everyone trying to update at once?

I found a old copy of pbexe that i used for 2142,however it starts to download and then stops,teh whole program freezes up and i have to ctrl alt del it.such a shame.

I restarted the sor server haz, and we have had a few ppl disconnecting but most have managed to get thru eh. No idea why, but the restart seemed to help heaps eh.

Where does it mean put them when it says system\pb\htm?

i'd be guessing in the system 32 folder maybe? or system folder even... then poss the html file???? but i really dunno just guessing:thumb:

in the cod4 folder (in program files, or whereever u installed it) theres a folder called pb, thats where pbsec.htm goes.

in there, theres also a folder called htm, thats where the other files go.

only problem is, it keeps deleting pbsec.htm when i play, and i'm still
getting kicked.

I've tried to manually update seeing PBsetup.exe doesn't seem to want to work

Join an ICONZ server and all I get is kicked after a few minutes because PB failed to connect and authenticate

Seven and Stryker from uN did the same and it's working for them too.

I had this as well, to get around it I bring down the console and type

/pb_sleep 0
/pb_security 0

Do that before you join a game, then you should be able to play fine until PB sorts it's stuff out.

Yeah I watched everyone except myself and the console get kicked from the 'free 4 all' MB server today. I felt special. Must of been cause I am maori AU!!:asian:.
