are you guys starting to develop formal tactics for the maps or just team based tactics for the search and destroy game style?

The only mode that is ever played competitively is Search and Destroy, was the same for all the CoD series of games.

yeah i get that.

i am just wondering if you have taken it to the point where you are doing strats for individual maps - or is it too early days for that yet?

As a team we have yet to even play through all the maps, but as experienced FPS players I guess we can kind of look at a map for a couple of minutes before we scrim on it for the first time and get a rough feel of how it will play out, but until you have played teams that are just as good, or better than you on the maps there is really no point in trying to write up strats for something brand new, you have to gauge how different teams play over the map and group similarities to strat being able to write decent strats.

So without the wankfest above - No, too early.

Strats ain't nearly as important in CoD4 as they were in say BF2 or 2142, It's all about teamwork, communication and individual player skill - no weak spots.

sweet.

perks are off in comps yes?

would make it hell interesting if they were on. uav jammers and ease dropping would make for some interesting tactical adjustments...

Perks are off yeah.

Teams have vent / TS so eavesdrop would be pointless, and there are no UAV, Air Strike or Choppers
