No Grenade Launcher on Iconz?

Well i just went on ICONZ S&D and used my grenade launcher.. then someone goes No tubes or you kicked. I said.. its in the game if its there i can use it.. then they vote kick me. Why not set up a server with M203 disabled if this is the case.. I don't think i should be kicked from a public server for using something thats part of the game...

take note of who votekicked you, and report it to an admin.

I was on the server spectating at the time, but I can't stop a kick vote sorry.

I have taken note of those that did it and will be keeping a close eye on them.


End of the day guys (and this is for everyone), regardless of your thoughts on a particular weapon or how much someone uses it - if it's in the game, they CAN use it however they please. If someone wants to run around with nothing but a pistol, they can. Likewise with ANY weapon in the game.

By kick voting someone for using something they are allowed to use, it is YOU that is in the wrong.


If you really want a GL free server, talk to us about it and if there is enough demand, then maybe we will see what can be done. But if you are playing on the public ranked servers - ANY WEAPON IN GAME IS ALLOWED TO BE USED.

Not so. Lets say you pulled out an AK47 and everyone else on the server didn't like that, they kick voted you, thus banning you from the server for just over an hour. How you you feel? If it were me I'd be bloody annoyed as I was just playing the game using a weapon that was in the game.

Sure they had stated a "gentlemens agreement" not to use the GL. But that is only valid for the people that agreed to it, Chook had not agreed to it as he wasn't on the server at that time. To be kick voted for that is just lame and I will not allow it on the ICONZ servers.

Kick votes are there for dealing with trouble makers, team killers, etc - not people that are playing the game normally.

I've spoken to Bruce and he didn't start it, and neither did I. Only about another 10 people Chook can accuse now, should make it easier

I didn't start the vote chook (and you can check logs for that.. but thanks for dragging me into this.), but I did agree with everyone else that we wanted no GLs... it was a bit unfair on you granted. We; the people on the server at the time were enjoying good games long before you turned up with an agreement over chat to have a non GL game. you rolled in and started nubbing it up with the GL which annoyed a few players since the agreement between teams was set.

I don't believe he should be banned, that is wrong... it was a case of the wrong place at the wrong time.

I understand you issues, but we try to get along as a community. 15/16 people were more than happy to agree with the the none GL rule. maybe try using bullets instead.

/edit I leave it in your hands hazard, maybe the lines were crossed. maybe we deserve a ban ourselves. up to you.

If for some reason I do get banned for this... I request a GL free server + more domination, headquaters and seek and destroy servers. Free for all on that 20ft sq map is mayhem! and less numbers.

Just another point there Chook........from my recollections you used the GL, it was pointed out to you we had an agreement not to use them due to the crap that was going on earlier on the server where 70% of the kills were with the nub tube.

It was explained we had a gentlemans agreement as someone said to you, and your repsonse was its in the game, I dont care etc etc Someone called a kick vote and you were gone.

Then you say it was Bruce who called a vote against you when it wasn't....

I dont yet have a problem with the nade launcher, on SnD it makes littlke difference as you only get 2 goes then it's gone.

Whats everyone got against the grenade launcher? I dont get it, isnt it the same as holding your nade for a bit longer so it explodes right away?

I'm not going to do anything about it, just want to point out that I would hate to get to the point where I have no choice but to do something about it.

I'm just really against people getting kick voted for this type of thing, regardless of who started it.

Anyway, I think I have made my stance on that clear. So let just keep the kick vote feature for what it's truely meant for and get on with gaming :D

Well you have to blame everyone on the server including myself. ([A] Zero 5ignal)

We had a good bunch of guys on and we all agreed no GL, Chook joined not knowing this we asked many times if he could please stop using it as we where trying to have some good games with no GL he would not so someone started a vote kick I don't know who it was but it was done I guess all of us voted yes and he got kicked.


I really did not think it was a big deal at the time people get vote kicked for being AFK all the time but I do see your point Hazard for sure but I really don't think any of us thought much of it and I also don't want to see Bruce getting the blame cause it was all of us including myself.


The noob tubing on the servers is just getting out of control and we all just wanted some games with no GL spam.
But I am sure we all learned our lesson and wont do it again.

sila server has no pw during the day/some of the evenings,

has no Gren Launchers or Stun nades, and is set up in full scrim mode (no
kill cam, no perks, no uav/chopper/airstrikes, no ranks :P )
