The M203 in real life has to travel a certain distance b4 it explodes(something like at least 40 meters, depending on trajectory). If you get "pegged" (hit b4 it explodes) it can still kill you. Imo cod 4 needs to implement this . It would cut out A lot of 203 bs- especially close kills. Also the rpg in real life has a relatively large percentage of shots that skew way off target. This also might be useful for rpg spam control.

I thought they already had already done that with the m203? Like on the kill message it shows someone doubled over with a grenade in the chest and when you fire it at a wall at close range it doesn't explode just makes a dull thud. Isn't there a challenge for killiung someone with a grenade launcher without the grenade exploding?

no in cod 4 it explodes over a very short distance, though if its real close u still "peg" people as you say. The exploding distance needs to be lengthened. Would solve a lot of spam issues.

its not just close range that is an issue..
you could be 100m away, and if i have high ground above you, its near impossible to miss, and will kill you with one shot. given no other guns
offer that kind of ease of use, or power, its fairly unsuitable to the rest
of the game.

This can only be done through a patch from the dev team.
My advice(And I agree with you about the noob tube),go to charlieoscardelta.com and post your ideas in their forum,because IW actually view the forum and listen to improvemnet from the community and such.

QFT! It's hard to work out how to deal with it with removing it completely. It cleans out rooms if you fire it into a window. Maybe the blast radius needs to be sorted out. I notice people using it in search and destroy map when the round starts, firing over the map into bottleneck points. lethal and annoying. Maybe snipers are needed to cut them down first.

mad agree with that, the only one thing i have disliked about the game so far is the noob tube. im yet to use it but i hate it already

With 2 grenades newb tube is over powered, but I feel it is ballanced because of the lack of rounds. If anything they should increase the reload time and maby put more drop on it.
But then again maby they should just leave it alone.

Nerf it so the player only has 1 shot + increase its arming distance.
+nerf nads/203s in rounds where you only have one life, by nerf i mean do what Americas army did to prevent cheap blind nad kills at the start of a round(they added a timer delay that prevented anyone from getting cheap kills at the start of the round) .

yes I was thinking of how AA have the 203's Cowwie. With a distance factor of 40-60 meters(maybe more if you are above your target-as in r/l) to make it explode it would go a way to solving the issue. Like peeps would hesitate to use it if they were at a borderline distance.

It only takes 2-3 seconds to reload them irl. Wouldn't want to retract from realism any more.
The blast radius is pretty realistic though, so maybe just dropping the weapon altogether would appease all concerned.

Nice one bw2 - I've noticed that too! I've seen them explode early in order to take out someone who it should've whistled pass. Very different to the rocket launcher which does whistle past...... (and gives you the shits at that!).
