Stuffed up sound in SP

Well I just started up COD4 and I got no sound in the intro at all. Got into the menu and got the shinning sound or what ever it is - sounds sort of like metal being scraped across something.

then started a new game and got no sound until i was in the game, where the guys voice is all echoed.

I played this game on friday fine with full sound...

I have a razer barracuda AC-1 soundcard if that helps?

Tried restarting the game and my PC.

Haha yea. I was like wtf. I could hear some sound but no speech or if there was speech it was echoed like all hell.
