NZ server "donations"

Well seeing as there are not any NZ servers up (from what iv heard), i thought it might be cool to get whoever wanted to in the forums to donate some money towards a 30 slot server

If anyones keen say how much your willing to donate in this thread, will have a vote for server admins etc. if this goes through.

There WILL be ICONZ Servers for COD4.
But until the game is release (tomorrow), we cannot put the servers up due to how the servers work.

I don't know when Temp will be getting the servers sorted, but check back tomorrow for info.

there will be plenty of NZ servers, but they need a copy of the game to host a server so they have to wait just like us.

This kind of thing has been discussed many times previously, donations for server hardware and donations to run servers. Even though it is not required this time as there will be servers, I will just highlight some of the issues that have cropped up previously.

Do those that donate get preferential treatment ie reserved slots and the like, what happens if 40 ppl donate, do 10 routinely miss out and what about those that don't donate do they get kicked as soon as a "paid" member wishes to game. etc etc etc.

Donating for a server seems to work for some clans, and not for others but as far as a group this size more than likely not

and also does those who give more than others get better treatment than someone who has paid less?

well we have our own server and we don't do the preferential treatment eh - no need really. But my suggestion is if u want to get a server join a clan with one...
