Just a quick question about COD4's netcode, will it have the optimization on 2142? (What you shoot is what you hit)

I think we will just have to wait and see in regards to this.
From playing the beta though, I found the net code very good.

COD2 had the server option of cl_antilag 1/0

COD4 may have it implemented no matter what

I know, its the best system imo, however there are a few problems with it such as high pinged players shooting "through corners" however they're just lagging.

One awesome thing about it is that you can end up killing eachother at the same time which gives a bit of lol into the game! :D

what i found real cool on this game. is if you shoot a guy and there is anyone behind him the bullet goes through and kills both. i was like wow that awesome. SVD hax i thought lol

Only downside which was the case for cod2 hence why it was disabled in any respectable competitive league/server,is that say you have 150~200 ping,then shoot someone on YOUR screen which is showing an image that is ~200ms old people end up being shot when completely behind cover and takes any competitive aspect out of the game unless the server only allows a max ping of say 80.

cod2 with al is a completely different game to cod2 with al=0

It will be highly unlikely to see al=1 in a competitive league/ladder system.Once the game has matured that is,no doubt some ppl will try in the early stages.
