There should be a 9th team or 2. This game has impressed the hell out of me, more than any other recent release, and thats only from the Demo.

well there were a couple in the GA ladder as well as quite a few nz's playing in oz clans, anyway hopefully cod 4 will be different enough so the skill levels of current cod 2 players won't immediately translate. The movement is slightly different(no sprint in cod 2 but slightly faster gun up movement)for a start so i guess thats a good thing.

Formerly 28th Maori Battalion, now NZEF, are definitely moving into CoD4. Have been involved in CoD2 since it's inception and still currently playing in Cybergamer Open Ladder. You may ask what this is? See here - http://www.cybergamer.com.au/cod/league/

My 5c is they'll be just fine, provided that:

1) The game rocks as much as everyone is hoping (which everyone seems to believe it will from the Xbox MP Beta, SP Demo, and (p)reviews on the web);

2) The COD2 clans don't bitch about the changes from COD2->4, wanting to wind back the clock and have the same balance & feel as that game.

3) The BF/CS/Other clans don't bitch about the things that make COD4 different from their previous game, wanting in effect a sequel to their respective games.

Note: By fine I mean that they will bitch and moan at each other just as much as they do now. The game may be good, but it ain't no panacea... :)

I don't see this at all, the game plays almost exactly like call of duty 2, and the only thing that brings it closer to cs is the fact that the S&D gametype actually has a bomb now (as opposed to cod1/2,where any of the attackers can just go up to the bombsite and plant). I'm a little worried that alot of you are getting into cod4 expecting its a different game to what it actually is.

I've been hanging for this game for awhile, and like heaps of players have pre ordered, along with the majority of my =[GD]= clan mates.

I'm sure that COD4 is going to be different than BF 2142 but thats one if the things that makes gaming great..change.

really i just find it interesting that your getting excited over cod4.I just hope it doesn't turn out to be another etqw fiasco, considering cod4 consists of the same run & gun bunnyhopping action that the bf community (in general) disliked in etqw

I think swindle said it before. i can't recall anyuone saying this is just like bf, or even similar. I have heard someone say this si the NEXT battlefield, but mainly meaning ppl would be heading into this game like they headed into bf...

I have played cod2, and cod3, albeit casually, and no i do not expect gameplay to be like bf in anyway. i do however expect it to be a cool game. One worthy of my $85:sunnies:
