Having an 8800 means i can run in Dx10 if i got Vista. This game looks fuck'n wicked on full GFx.
Anyone getting Vista because of this game? I may end up doing it.

Proabably not, the difference in graphics doesn't justify it for me.

Don't really want to install vista just for a game but I know that eventually I will install it. Will wait for the dx10 crack for xp to come out (if it ever does).

I'm duel booting so I get the best of both worlds (XP Pro and Vista Ultimate). I still prefer XP but Vista as not as bad as people make out.
Only 10 days until Bioshock's Dx10 goodness is out. :)

Yes and the difference didn't really impress me, it looks great on both so i'll upgrade when I absolutely have to.
switch.
12th August 2007, 02:59 PM
I wont be, i don't like what i have heard about vista so far and the game looks awesome on high dx9 settings. besides i don't play a game for the pretty graffics i play it for the game play.

I've already got a DX10 card but i'll wait for the 9 series and then buy two 8800GTX's and run SLI. GPU prices always fall when the new model comes out.

Easy... I had Xp already installed.
So I booted off the disc and installed Vista on another partition, and it automatically installed the boot manager. Can't get any easier than that. Vista took just over ten minutes to install.

I assume you mean 10000? If you do, thats not that hard to hit. I got 10253 on my rig and its not that great.

I plan on going flatting soon, and gaming for me is going out the window, the 8000 series will allow me to play crysis and a few odd bod games from time to time on decent fps (hopefully) but my main thought is just photoshop and movies, music, TV
