There is lots of padding happening on ICONZ servers (Titan), are theses people going to be banned sometime soon? Almost every round there is someone with no kills and 150+ points, not like one or two are slipping by unoticed :knife:

We are doing all we can, but without people MSN'ing us or posting a ban request there is only so much we can do.

PLEASE MSN/XFire me or Sniper if you see people exploiting. Also, take a scoreboard screenshot.

I still reckon the best exploit was the one how you slide inside the enemy gunship-bay.

Then you grab their transport, and fuck them up with the auto-cannons. Works best on the EU titan.

Last night I was on an AU server where a transport VTOL was actually INSIDE the cargo bay. Not sure how or why this happened, but it was funny as. Couldn't use it as a spawn point, btw.

That was BF2. In 2142 it's only 15.93%, but that's almost exclusively with the engie submachine gun :) I should probably start using real rifles sometime.

APM's are much easier to avoid than BF2's claymore's IF YOU'RE CAREFUL. be slow and hit the deck and you dont set them off. use the engie kit to defuse them from a distance

and if you dont want to do that, then take the death and quit moaning

conquest is old news. sure you get a fair bit more points on titan but thats not the reason i play it, its just alot more fun. especially when you assault and defend the titan. got my gold titan assault today :rnr:

hell once ure on the titan u don't even have to worry about being taken out by enemy vehicles, its just nubblet infantry who drop apm mines before they shoot you,

its funny some of the times i've come across people and they try that and get shot before they even get to drop the apm mine, just looks pathetic being able to kill someone without them trying to even shoot back

How do you work that out?

APM's in vents = kills without ever facing an NME. Ditto demopacks.
Sentry Bots in the titans = as above.

Conquest for people with skills, infantry only for people with even more skills who don't want to be constantly killed by armour whores camping uncaps ala GoO in BF2.

And here's my point. Titan mode is for stats padders. 2 points for each kill on the titan sums it up.

The only reason I play it is because there are no conquest servers with people in, and I'll always try to get people to come to one from a Titan server.

Case in point re: Titan mode and KDR. Friend of mine wanted to see just what was possible in one round if you went as engineer and manned titan guns on minsk for one round. The titan was parked centrally to allow good fields of fire on multiple silos.

Kills = 27
Deaths = 0

Really boring round and only worth doing while you're eating dinner (as i have done once).

You think? I've had plenty of games on the titan and been able to "handle the gameplay".

Some of the things wrong with the Titan Mode



Badges too easy to come by - kill a few NME in either titna and you get a badge. You'll almost certainly get a half decent kill streak by using unskilled methods to get kills, which = another badge.
Hovering above the titan dropping people off = another easy badge.
Killing the titan guns = another badge. Ok you can only get 2 a round, but that's another easy 40 career points.....


As nick says, there is not a great deal wrong with the ground play in titan mode, it's just when in the titan that it all goes pear shaped. With the upgrades available it takes away skill based play.

Just drop a few demo packs, a couple of drones and some APM's and you get double points.

So killer, tell me, where is the skill in that?

I'd look forward to a detailed post describing in detail how much skill it takes to drop a sentry bot off in the vent, or a few demopacks in the corridors.

In our latest update of "Killer vs the Internet" we find ourselves thrown into a futuristic Battlefield where only the leetest of players (read stat whores) will suceed. Interestingly, skill it seems has been left at the door and whoring points and different "easy to get" badges and pins, otherwise known as "e-medals", is the norm.

People who don't need this "continuous gameplay" feel that they have been sold short in what is otherwise an outstanding online gaming series. These people have also been told they are moaners and told to "harden up" if by their opinion the gamemode adopted by aformentioned "stat whores" is not to their liking.

Tune in next time when everybodies favourite klownboy, realizes he's just not that good at online gaming and takes to day-trading and prowling for underage boys on Myspace.

You're confusing 'badges' with 'pins'. (xtinct)

Badges will usually give you a large amount of points if its the silver or gold badges, but you can only get them once.

You can get pins easily on Titan mode but that's the point is to rack up a good amount of pins, it's just like a bit of extra bonus points for doing good / helping the team.

Only problems with Titan mode I can see are:

- Lag
- Exploits
- Defending is a joke, it's a race to see who can plant the most RDX/APM mines/Sentry guns ect ect then just spam grenades into the vents/corridors. It's pretty dull really, just point whorage.
- Too difficult to get down the corridors unless the enemy's not defending or defending really bad.

oh and the whole wall clipping, kits dropping through the floor and crap like that.

And I FUCKEN HATE SENTRY GUNS! My team, enemy's team don't care they are just BS.
An infantry man should never be able to "shoot" at two separate targets at the same time which is what sentry guns allow. That oversteps the mark for upgrade advantages.
Not to mention the bullets clip through walls in the titan.
In infantry firefights: one soldier, one target, one result = fair game.

Which is fine if that's how you want to play the game.

How you can say that Conquest is for stat padders or people who love KDR's is a joke.

In conquest you do not know where your NME is, and you have to be careful when attacking/defending places so as not to be killed.

In the Titan the NME is in the vents (or their bot/apm/demopack is), or they are in the corridors along with yet more of said demopacks/apms etc.

Rinse and repeat ad infinitum.

In conquest you get a different game almost every time. Can that be said of titan mode?

lol dude that sounds noobish. APCs are good for infintry's. Don't bother try to destroy an APC with your APC let alone trying to destroy a tank with your APC it won't work.

I like using the APC for inf kills and emp strikes to provide support for AT strikes and tankers.

You will get used to pwning in a tank, they are the shiznit. Hit the weak points of the tank or apc. The sides and rear.

Honestly kill3r owns man. Even though you pwn the titan, *lol* you are good at it.
