There is a lot happening in the Battlefield Universe. Our work with the update has now moved into active Closed Beta testing with the Combat Studios team to verify the fixes in a live environment. We wanted to add a few more items to the listed fixes for 1.05 for everyone to review prior to release:

• Assault Rifle Improvement: We have made slight adjustments to the deviation of the Assault rifles to increase the accuracy of short burst fire. Long duration full auto fire will still create significant deviation. These changes will help the assault burst-fire performance in medium range fire fights.

• Server Stability Improvements: We have made some improvements to the server stability. These improvements are currently being Beta tested by our ranked server partners in an effort to have a solid final release. We will continue our effort to provide increased stability with each new BF2142 Update

• Fixed an issue with the Silver Titan Destruction Badge not being awarded when core is destroyed

• Fixed an issue with the ground defense kills not being properly counted towards the Ground Defense Ribbon

We would also like to thank the entire crew at Combat Studios and Multiplay.co.uk for their tremendous efforts in helping with our Beta Testing of 2142. If you would like to help out with future Beta Testing of 2142 Update releases please sign up here. (https://www.combattesting.com)

For our European Clan Players the Battlefield 2142 Cup is beginning. Your clan can sign up until November 18th at the Clan Base website for your chance to win great prizes. We look forward to watching the competition and cheering you along.

There have been some questions regarding stats sites for Battlefield 2142. We will be allowing these stat sites to provide the services many of you have enjoyed with BF2. However we are currently taking steps to ensure that the activity of these sites, specifically the additional traffic they create for the Stats Database Servers, does not negatively impact players in game. Over the course of the next few weeks we will be finalizing the steps needed to ensure a quality experience for all players.

We will also be finalizing patch 1.41 for Battlefield 2. More information regarding the content and final release date for this patch will be released next week.

To wrap this up we also wanted to note that the next round of the Battlefield:2 ModLight is coming up with its review of the BattleRacer mod. Please join us in appreciation of another great BF2 mod!

Be sure to keep your eyes on this space for all your official Battlefield Updates!

-Your DICE Live Team

nubbing up the assault rifles :(

I got to say I'm a bit confused by that statement myself...I would much rather everyone get more accurate assault rifles..... I thought you would too. POE2 was super fun because if you dared move from cover, Boom you were dead....if anything the guns should be made more deadly AND more accurate. I would not liken that to "nubbing" them.

i see no problem with the krylov in its current state

theres a difference between the accuracy of the guns, and the game responding as it should when you fire.

simple example is playing battlefield 2 on a lan, i feel there was no issue with accuracy, you hit what you aim for, which instantly means theres nothing wrong with the guns accuracy, but the game itself when played online.

i was hinting at the fact he is the only one that calls them pro's

regardless of their attitude, they don't call themselves gods gift to the game

Er some do imply it, but I pwn them all so it doesn't matter. :P

And I get what you're saying now but I don't belevie you can call it "nubbing" the rifles. They are simply tweaking the rifles, I for one have no problem with this.

EA don't have a good track record with 'tweaking' the guns (PKM sniping anyone?)

another thing that bugs me, they're already starting to fuk with shit, imo assault
rifle accuracy wasn't a bug, and there are plenty of bugs they need to be fixing
first before they start 'tweaking' things

Agree, but surely they would've learnt from that.....

Lemme just put this question to you sloth ,In your opinion If every single gun had %100 pin-point accuracy who would gain the most advantage (over the current system). People who can't aim for shit and have slow reactions or those that can aim at the head as fast as possible?

I personally have got to agree with lolo, I found alot of people were really struggling to do any good unless they knew what they were doing in a poes deadly arena.

The main "moaners" were me and nick i believe and we were actually just having a discussion with other people who actually were disagreeing with us and they were 42 players

But I will say after extended play I don't have much issue with the krylov it generally does what its told :P

And if you think I think im a "pro" you know nothing in that thread i even said i was a shit bf2 player but made the point i could still randomly take down far better players due to gun randomness.
I want to be owned over and over by players who are surperior, i dont want kills handed to me by luck.

it's not derived from any one incident....i just find that generally NZBF is full of elitists harking back to an older game

Your right it is, mainly because while most of them don't even play bf2 anymore they still know each other well from playing with each other for many years, its just thier hangout just because the game is dead doesn't mean the community is.

So maybe they should post in some other forums rather than the bf2 one. Liek non-bf2 gaming sub thread or one of the others

actually the most intelligent reasoning i have seen for it. and i suppose there is nothing wrong with that but i know that reading the almost constant stream of negativity is draining

Yea fair call, im sure they will manage to totally fuck it.
Abit of a fix to the scar to make it alittle different but still close to the awesome that is krylov is all that is needed.

Uhh.. honestly, they're a giant pile whining bitches.

Especially the guys who come from the xtra servers. I think I made my very first actual post on NZBF something like.. 10 months after I signed up.

Oh yea... now I remember why... I signed up to play in the tourny, and got turned down..

Oh well. Their loss.
