Copy disc?

Does anyone know if there's a way to make a 100% copy of the Battlefield 2142 DVD disc.
I want to keep a backup in case the original disc gets too scratched - as it's ALREADY got some nasty looking marks on it.

I've tried Alcohol 120%, it copied ok but still asks for you to insert the disc when trying to play - unless I copied it with the wrong settings or something, I dunno...

Will Blindwrite make an exact working copy, have you tested? I've got that program but i've only got a few blank dvd discs left to try and don't want to waste them..

There is currently no mini-image for the game, and I think for some reason its not possible for one to be made. So yeah you can make a full ISO and mount it, but then you've got a large .iso file that has to sit on your hard-drive taking up space ASWELL as the game being installed right?

Looks like either way you gonna need to burn it on disc if you wanna save space. *cheaper than buying another hard drive, spend $1 for dvd -r ofs trademe*

Or create the image using whatever program that works and mount that onto your virtual drive. *takes up space, as well as have the game installed to lol on white space alright*.

hard drive are alot cheaper these days. $95 bucks for 160 gig off pricespy. sata or pata.

Blacklisting is fucking easy to work around. No cd crack ftw though, unless punkbuster detects it. It really hacks me off that BF2/142 even requires the disk, since you need a unique CD key to play, and you can't play using that key if it's in use on another machine. Just stupid.

Yeah i need a new hard-drive, 100gig all up isnt enough for me :p

but i like backing up all the good stuff to hard copy aswell, never know when Windows will crap out on ya :disappoin

Hm.. I just made an image and mounted it with a DAemon Tools latest version..
and it didn't work for me.. what settings did you use? Did u have to burn it to a DVD ?

Use Alcohol 120% to make an iso then mount the image on a virtual drive and away you go also you can put in a no cd exe from www.burncopyworld.com and run with no cd

DVD image with the latest Alcohol 120% then mounted in Alcohol 120% works.

Yuh screw that ^ you can just disable the drivers from within Windows but still screw going to that effort, i'd rather use the dvd than do that.

How do you create a disc from the install folder if you have used EA link to buy the game? All the info is there, Disc.img and everything, but I cant think of the way to do it.
Last thought was just to copy everything in the folder to a disc and see if that works.
