Hi All,

Why is it I have only been in one good squad since this game started? don't the masses know there are alot of bonus' to be had if you work as a squad and actually set and use the order system or kill/point radius'. It seems every time i join a squad the squad leader isn't really to keen on being a squad leader and/or issuing orders. Sure its all well and good squading up but whats the point if everybody is lone wolfing it in the squad?? Please work together guys (most of the guys that read this forum will be the ones who actually work really well in the squads etc. but surprise surprise those squads are always full)

If there are any clans out there that want an extra guy in their squad for a semi-serious muck round or even scrims let me know!

Best way is to get some dudes on xfire that you know are good to play with and join there game and be involed in the forums so you become bum buddys with peps so you know more people in the game. ;)

I've been squad leader a bit, I don't know if I'm getting the most out of it or not, but I pretty much choose a capture point or silo to attack then get a few of us to take it out, if one looks like its under a bit of pressure, I'll set it to defend. Is there anything major I'm missing out on, cause if there are other things I should be looking into doing, I'm all ears. I'm only new at this so any help is appreciated.

First thing i normally do is jump in the largest squad i can see.
Most of the time the SL are doing their jobs. If they are not i leave and move to the next squad.

I have two simple rules.

1) Never punish Squad members (try not to punish at all, unless the TK walks upa nd shots you in the face)
2) try and stick around the SL, some times its hard, but if you are waiting for a walker or tank tell the SL what you are doing so when you do get it, he can let you know where he wants you to help most. :asian:

Nah that sounds about right, if there's areas nearby that need capping, send an Attack order to your closest squad members. If an area is being attacked, set the order to Defend.

Not much else to other than that, except maybe try and stay alive as much as possible and use the squad beacon effectively.

Squad work bonus will half you time between ranks.. with team work adding to my score i'm ranking up at least once every todays.

I usually go SL, if I'm not SL, I'll join a squad with people I know in it, I have yet to join a squad of randoms where they are working together well.

As Raven siad, punishes within a squad are and instant "fuck off" and kick from the squad.

Blurr, feel free to join $ila squads, we always get stoked out with randoms who appreciate teamwork.

I'm not sure you're right there artinis, AFAIK squad work bonuses are very minimal, the career points are the one to look for at the end of each round. for intance you have a round where you kill 25 peeps, get a few TW points and end up on 28 points, but you get 3 5 kill streaks and a collectors pin (8 knife kills IAR) you will get 28 + 5 each for the kill streak pins and ananother 20 for the collectors 63 points towards your career.

This is why you don't have to be in a squad to whore points on Titan mode, 200+ career point is easily acheivable on titan.

I'm always up for team and squadwork ....General rule of thumb squad with the isf dudes. Speaking of punishing, seems really harsh in bf2142, 6 point loss with the scoring rehash system. But then if I was getting the squad command bonus' maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

Anyone else annoyed with the UAV? refresh time on it is a lot longer c.f bf2. Spots seem a little funky too, infantry easy to spot, others seem a little vexing.


One more thing, why are people so annoyed with moving the titan? Have heard players griping about how it increases lag. What is going on there?

UAV is fine, the less of it there is the better IMO.




One more thing, why are people so annoyed with moving the titan? Have heard players griping about how it increases lag. What is going on there?

Once the shields are down, and people are on the titan, if it's moving it's really hard to play on it.

If I could make a change to titan mode, it would be thus, as soon as you lose your shields, your titan cannot move anymore, so you have to move it to a tacticcal position prior to your shields going down.

Oh, possibly. I hope so, i've been lots of driver ability assists which are + .5 so you're probably right.

Nah i haven't got Xfire. i have been using TS of late.. might look into it. Anywho i have no doubt that if i choose more effective squads the problem would cease.

I usually just squad up with the ISF guys, they are usually pretty good and efficient. Hoping that if I spend enough time playing with the 1337s I can get better myself. As if that would ever happen xD.

But agreed, Xfire is a good way to communicate between players.

i chose to move the titan the fuck away fomr the action an park it in the most hard to get to corner on suez cannal.


this of course made me the biggest noob ever apparently as the guns weren't in range of the silo's


the fact that no APC was in range and any transport would have to approach head on and have no manuever room at the rear for landings.

Dont expect too much teamwork yet. The games just been release so every 6 year old and their brother has gotten mummy to buy it for them, and no doubt with the alternate soldier thing clanners that are less mature will be using the opportunity to use an alias to act like dicks.

I love squading up but unfortunatly i'm being a real stat whore with collecting dog tags i'm trying to get that number 1 position so if you see me i'm happy to squad up but on the team side of things unfortunatly i get more kills working alone, the amounts of times guys get taken out right infront of me just as i swipe is unbelievable
