2142 Performance tuning tips

I've just started to review the old bf2 stuff so will continue additions

tip 1. don't suffer from PB kicks

Punkbuster now supports 2142 and the same client which was used for BF2 can be updated and 2142 manually added.

tip 2. Make PB sleep 500 seconds rather than 20
enter console via tilde key `
and type first
pb_sleep 500
then
pb_writecfg

This wher I get all my gaming performance tweaks from.

Just a warning. Dropping dynamic lighting/shadows to 0 will kill the interior lighting in the Titan. So you can't see the walls/floors of the fucking thing.

I dropped them back to 0 and haven't had any probs in the titan or any where else in any of the maps

It might be only with certain graphics cards/drivers.

Go to Start>Run> type 'regedit' and hit 'Ok'

In regedit go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Electronic Arts \ EA Games \ Battlefield2 \ ergc

Your Data will probably have 'x9392' and that's it. There's an explaination for why this is incorrect.

You need to right click and select 'Modify'

Type in x9392 and then your CD key. NOTE: There are no hyphens and put on your caps lock.

example: x9392THECDKEYGOESHERE
