Really useful if you're the kind of person who hates having to find the game disc or swapping discs everytime you want to play the game...

just tested this and works sweet.

Just download a program called Game Jackal (its not free, but you dont need the full version) and go through the easy setup wizard for choosing a Game Profile... for the Game Profile just choose Battlefield 2 (theres no bf2142 on the list but it doesn't matter)

continue on and make sure you tick the 'image mode' option (or something like that, can't remember exactly what its called)

it will ask you insert the game disc, do it, and then you need to play the game as normal for atleast half an hour or so and Game Jackal builds up a profile for it.

after that you can just launch the game directly from the Profile shortcut in Game Jackal, no more worrying about a disc. :rnr:

Gamecopy world has a fix to get rid of the intro movies..
All you have to do is replace .bik files in the Movies folder with 0 kb files..

goto mininova.org and search for Game Jackal.
You just might find the "Full version" there.
:sunnies:

I'm just going to wait till someone releases a 4MB DVD image like they did for BF2.. which U can mount using Daemon tools.. cbf installing more software..

oh and if you make a shortcut to the game, right click on it and chuck this in the 'shortcut target' for it to automatically log you in.
