So has anyone else noticed absolutely unbearable lag playing in Titan Mode? Conquest mode's smooth as butter but in a Titan mode server just now everyone was complaining about crazy lag even though our pings were normal.

And this isn't just inside the titan, it's anywhere... mostly when the Titans are moving.

so at the moment Titan mode is pretty much unplayable. :sly:

It only seems to be like that when the titan is moving.

I never had an problems with lag or moving titan in the demo, but in full version it is impossible to hit anything!

Also does anyone have a problem where their is no spawn point showing on your own Titan? I have to use APC's to get to my own titan ! :)

Also been getting huge ping spikes on ICONZ today

Cheers Simon looking forward to the link :) I enjoyed titan mode on the demo, but its rediculously laggy on the full version... Was fighting a guy in the reactor core for like 40 seconds at close range and we just couldnt hit each other

just search for the link yourself. Or even better RTFM. the Readme or manual explains EXACTLY which ports need to be open!

In order to play Battlefield 2142 online, you must have the following ports open in your firewall.

TCP 443
TCP 17475
UDP 27900
UDP/TCP 29900
TCP 80
TCP 4711
UDP 27901
UDP 1500-4999
UDP/TCP 1024-1124
UDP 29900
UDP/TCP 27900
UDP 16567
UDP 55123-55125
UDP/TCP 18000
UDP/TCP 18300

These are the ports specified in the README.txt on your DVD :)

Dont know what I going to do as my router will only allow me to forward 20 ports ffs

hmm if only i knew how to change my ports for my modem..... there doesn't seem to be any way to do it from the broadband configuration page.

anyone know how to port forward for a DSL-502g?

http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm

Im guessing the interface is fairly similar for all DSL modems. Have a look on that list bro.

If you need any help with it garb my msn from my profile and give me a buzz

can be called multiple different things in router setup panel. as some of them have some pretty crazy engrish.

port forwarding
pinholing
virtualservers

most routers allow port forwarding.

Weird, after forwarding all the ports it asks for, certain apps wont connect to the net while others will. IE, Firefox, MSN and DC++ dont like it, but steam and xfire are fine.. Must have done something wrong.. Canceling those settings now, will try again in the morning

thats strange, u shouldnt have to change any existing options just create a new set of rules

TItan mode is laggier,

and as someone pointed out to me yesterday, EA are probably fully aware of that
seeing as they only allow 48 players and not 64 on Titan mode

oh and if conquest mode works fine for you guys but titan doesn't,

port forwarding isn't going to help :)
